Big Country - In a Big Country (1983) In   1983,   Grammy   nominated   Scottish   rock   band   Big   Country   filmed   the   promotional video   to   their   third   single,   ‘In   A   Big   Country’,   on   the   then   disused   Swanage   Railway. Other   locations   used   in   the   video   included   Swanage   Pier   and   Old   Harry   Rocks   at Studland. Corfe Castle can also be seen at the start of the video. Big   Country   had   many   hit   records   during   the   80s   with   UK   Top   10   singles   including ‘Fields of Fire’ (1983), ‘Chance’ (1983), ‘Wonderland’ (1984) and ‘Look Away’ (1986). ‘In   A   Big   Country’   was   a   massive   hit   in   the   USA   and   Canada   reaching   No17   and   No3 respectively.   The   single   came   from   their   debut   album,   ‘The   Crossing’,   which   peaked at No3 in the UK charts, No 18 in the USA and No4 in Canada.
